Summer 2013

I truly cannot believe that the last weekend of summer 2013 has come and gone. Kids are back to school today, the days are getting shorter and the chilly mornings of Autumn are among us. I must say that I did not plan on being away from the blog for all of August but when summer calls one must be ready to answer.

Summer 2013 has sure been busy and upon arriving home yesterday, after spending the long weekend in Invermere, I can honestly say its been good to us.

We had the pleasure of seeing two of our favorite couples tie the knot, enjoyed a few trips out to the mountains, golfed several times and enjoyed a few patios and a few bevvies, I also managed to run three races. Color me Rad which was the first 5km of the season, Loop the Lake 10km in Invermere and The Grizzly Ultra Marathon 42 km relay that 5 of us girls did together.

To close out September long weekend I also took the opportunity to go paragliding in Invermere (although it wasn’t on this years bucket list). I went tandem and I  must say that it was an incredible experience and I hope I get the opportunity to do it again.

Ending Summer on a high note

After a rocky start with non stop rain and flooding in Southern Alberta, Summer 2013 sure turned itself around. I am looking forward to finishing this year off strong and getting more of my bucket list checked off but also looking forward to the changing seasons that are upon us and getting back into a normal routine with my new job, Kinettes, and yoga regime.

I hope you all had a fantastic summer. For those parents who had to send their little ones off to school today, I hope you survived (especially all those cute kindergarten and grade one moms and dads). They will be home soon and wanting to tell you all about it so make sure you have a good snack ready.

We are off to Seattle in 8 days for our first real vacation as a couple… stay tuned for highlights from our trip and the Seattle hotspots we will be visiting!
